  • Abstract in English: The author attempted to answer the question of what it means to be a successful person and thus sought out responses from people of different professions. As a result, he chose four autobiographies belonging to: a disabled person, an athlete, an entrepreneur, and an actor. In his research, he adopted a qualitative strategy using the biographical method and the technique of proxemic analysis. The research shows that success, even if it is understood differently, is not reduced to a single activity but perceived over the course of activities conducive to achieving further goals set by a person. The conclusions reached by the author call on us to reflect on the usefulness of the Jesuit model of education, in which contexts, experiences, reflection, action and evaluation play an important role in the processes of upbringing. The task of those who use this model is to support pupils in acquiring experiences that bring joy from the fact that the changes taking place in a person, caused by upbringing, bring new values and a new quality into social life. In undertaking these tasks, a crucial role is played by form-teacher accompanying the pupil in his/her pursuit to success.
