Abstrakt: This paper focuses on the goals of the Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People’s Republic (currently being created) and the activities it offers. The Museum has been established in place of the former detention centre and prison. An outline of the prison’s history, presented here, is an introduction to the future mission of the emerging Museum and a permanent exhibition (in the works). The paper presents an overview of current exhibitions, educational programmes and commemorative endeavours.
