    • Przedmiot tego studium stanowią poczynione przez Monneta doświadczenia i rozumienia interesu, a dokładniej jego wielopostaciowych przejawów w sferze spraw prywatnych i publicznych. Tym, co mnie szczególnie interesuje, jest Monnetowska, realistyczno-pragmatyczna konceptualizacja tych różnych postaci interesu, prowadząca ich autora, niejako krok po kroku, do koncepcji intérêt commun, czyli interesu wspólnego, któremu przypisuje on tak fundamentalnie ważne znaczenie w kontekście europejskiej integracji, upatrując w nim kamień węgielny jej nie tylko gospodarczego zjednoczenia.
    • The subject of this study is Monnet’s experiences and understandings of interest or, more precisely, its multiform manifestations in the sphere of private and public affairs. What I am particularly interested in is Monnet’s realist-pragmatic conceptualisation of these various forms of interest, leading their author, step by step as it were, to the concept of intérêt commun, or common interest, to which he attributes such fundamental importance in the context of European integration, seeing it as the cornerstone of its not only economic unification.
