  • Abstrakt: Contemporary Leadership in the Context of Multiculturalism — Challenges for Human Resource Management Creating the right conditions in which a contemporary leader can achieve the goals of the organization by inspiring the right people needs to reflect on the challenges confronted by leaders, especially in the context of multiculturalism. Leaders in the international environment should be sensitive to cultural issues. Their main features are: adaptability, effective communication in cultural diversity, efficiency and flexibility in the interaction of different cultures. Leaders in the event of cultural diversity should pay particular attention to the shaping tact and respect for the attitudes, behaviors and communication of colleagues from other cultural backgrounds. The first part of the paper contains selected definitions and explanations of leadership. Cultural determinants and their influence on leadership in an international context were defined in the next part of the article. The next part of the article is about leadership as a key factor of modern Human Resource Management. The last part of the article highlights the new challenges in contemporary Human Resource Management — leadership in managing multiculturalism.
