  • Abstrakt: The aim of the article is to indicate threats from civilization to the personalistic image of man. According to the author, the existence of such threats is conditioned by civilization and anthropology. On the one hand, it is the very specificity of a person as a potentialised being, who does not have a direct knowledge of his own essence, which enables the deformation of his image as a person, as well as his or her own. On the other hand, civilization as a method of collective life device (Feliks Koneczny) through law (public and private – marriage, property, inheritance) permanently regulating personal relations has a significant impact on the formation of the image of man. At the same time, civilization is based on permanent metaphysical (creationism or emanationism), anthropological (personalism or community) and social (empiricism or apriorism; organicism or mechanicism) solutions that determine the overall model of social life: personalistic or collectiveness.
