Abstrakt: Education in the current Polish context is marked by many symptoms of ideologization and indoctrination, the victims of which are children and adolescents. The Salesians have been working in Poland for decades. using in their educational activities the Preventive System of St. John Bosco. The purpose of the article is to indicate those philosophical assumptions of the Preventive System which become a kind of protection against the inﬂuence of ideology and indoctrination in the educational camp. The ﬁrst part of the article will consider the problem of ideologization and indoctrination in Polish schools. The second part will show the philosophical foundations on which the Preventive System is based.
