Abstrakt: Division. The general concepts and distinctions The purpose of the analysis contained in this article is to define general concepts and distinctions related to the division understood methodologically. The basic one is the general concept of division, on which the following concepts are based: combining and crossing divisions, parts and levels of division and the correctness of division (and its components). The set of general concepts and distinctions proposed in the article could be used in the whole range of cases covered by the conception of division, i.e. the types of division distinguished in it: classification, typology, partition, separation of features and the so-called metaphysical division.
