  • Abstrakt: During World War II, an educational ideal as well as the goals and tasks of the Polish education system in exile were formulated in Great Britain. The assumptions for the reconstruction and reform of the system after the war were also defined. The main directions of these significant initiatives were presented by general Józef Haller and Rev. dr Zygmunt Kaczyński at the meetings of the National Council of Poland in London. General Józef Haller and Rev. dr Zygmunt Kaczyński were responsible for the management of education in exile and tried to implement some of the tasks of the Polish education system in exile formulated in Great Britain. However, due to a changing situation in Poland after the war, the previously approved concept of the reconstruction of the educational system was not put into practice. Moreover, the Polish education system organized in exile during the war was abolished.
