- Abstrakt w j. angielskim: We are presently transitioning from Era 4.0 to Era 5.0, which introduces several challenges, particularly in management. Researchers are closely examining the evolving labor market, and the skills workers require, in both the present and the near future. The emergence of Industrial Age 5.0 is reshaping the operational landscape of companies, significantly influencing the skill set expected from employees. This chapter aims to present the essential skills crucial for Industry 5.0 employees. It primarily focuses on managers’ insights from various European countries. These managers operate in environments characterized by cultural diversity and lead multicultural teams. The central research question is, what skills are fundamental in the era of 5.0, as identified by managers operating within culturally diverse settings? The research employs a combination of a literature review and findings from 12 in-depth interviews conducted in 2022 involving managers from Poland, Spain, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Building upon existing literature and her own research, the author reveals a shift toward valuing soft skills for Era 5.0 employees. Notably, four skill sets emerge prominently: problem-solving, interpersonal communication, technological proficiency, and self-management. Within the framework of Era 5.0 and amid cultural diversities, managers underscore the significance of intercultural communication, cultural intelligence, and effective relationship-building in multicultural teams. The exploration of workers’ skills in Industry 5.0, particularly in managing diverse teams, remains an underexplored topic in the existing literature, especially within Polish publications. As a result, the conducted interviews are intended to provide initial guidance and a foundation for more comprehensive research pursued by other scholars. These efforts seek to build on the themes covered in this chapter. The research outcomes are potentially significant for employees and managers functioning in culturally diverse workplaces, as well as for Human Resource departments within multinational corporations.
