  • Abstrakt: The article shows a strategy used by electronic literature creators for whom an error, a system glitch, is a deliberately introduced means of artistic expression. New media creators break with the perception of error as an undesirable element that must be erased at all costs and that results from a system malfunction. Instead, they treat error as an intentional component that carries meaning. The article analyses the phenomenon on the case of Leszek Onak’s electronic work Poezja cybernetyczna w perspektywie aksjologii VHS-u (Cybernetic Poetry in the Light of VHS Axiology) in the context of glitch art. The interpretation shows the specifics of the glitches that coexist with other components of the electronic artwork. Then text describes the functions that error/glitch performs in electronic literature, constituting a new cultural quality, an electronic literary trope that functions in a dynamic environment of convergent processuality. Works of this type significantly accelerate the course of discourse about the problems of electronic literature poetics.
