  • Abstrakt w j. angielskim: While it is challenging to capture the entirety of Oceanic culture succinctly, this chapter aims to portray the essence of the nature and values of Indo-Pacific culture for the understanding of Northern nations. A degree of cultural understanding is becoming increasingly important in an era of changing balance of power between actors within the region and in the context of competition for influence between the world’s largest economies. Oceanic leaders shoulder the significant responsibility and have a great opportunity to share their knowledge and experience, drawn from local tradition and heritage, so that it might bring peace, mutual respect and shared prosperity to the inhabitants of the Blue Continent and our Blue Planet.
