- Abstrakt: The concept of spirituality is understood in modern society in many different ways. Therefore, the study of its connection with other spheres of human functioning can be complicated. However, when a holistic understanding of spirituality is taken as the starting point, it is assumed that it has connections with other spheres of human life. The first part of the article is a short collection of definitions of spirituality and definitions of emotional, social and cognitive functioning. In the second part of the article, research on a group of 38 students of pedagogy was described. The results of the research showed the relationships between spiritual and emotional, social and cognitive functioning. The research was carried out using the diagnostic survey method with the use of questionnaires. They allowed us to see in a new way how complex the mutual relations between various spheres of human life are. They also made it possible to see that every person, regardless of their personality traits, has the possibility of spiritual development.
