  • Abstract in English: Janusz Korczak’s book entitled A Child’s Right to Respect (1929) is the subject of semantic and structural analysis in this article. The aforementioned author addressed the negatively assessed adult community with a passionate appeal to ensure a variety of rights for the child, the fundamental of which is the right to respect. He criticized the provisions of the Geneva Declaration, in which an attempt was made to formulate the rights of the child (Geneva Declaration of the Rights of the Child, 1924), as they confused the rights of the child with the obligations of adults towards her. J. Korczak formulated the rights due to a child in an explicit and implicit manner, relating them to the processes involved in their spiritual, physical, mental, and social development.
