  • Abstrakt:
    • Artykuł podejmuje problem sposobu przedstawiania starości w powieści dla młodzieży Roksany Jędrzejewskiej-Wróbel Stan splątania. Obraz ten jest w dużej mierze związany z postrzeganiem starości jako choroby, stąd kwestia zdrowia pozostaje w centrum rozważań. Okazuje się, że o ile „starzy ludzie” postrzegają siebie jako zdrowych, to otoczenie traktuje ich nie tylko jako chorych, ale też potencjalnie zagrażających młodemu, zdrowemu światu. Jednak proces medykalizacji, a zwłaszcza farmaceutykalizacji, obejmuje nie tylko seniorów, ale także nastolatków oraz ich rodziców. Analiza powieści prowadzi do wniosków na temat szczególnego „splątania” starości i młodości (dzieciństwa), choroby i zdrowia. Pisarka stawia diagnozy dotyczące sytuacji „starych ludzi” we współczesnym świe- cie, próbuje też znaleźć odpowiedź na pytanie, co może wpłynąć na ich szeroko rozumiane zdrowie.
    • The article deals with the problem of presenting old age in Roksana Jędrzejewska-Wróbel’s novel for young adults Stan splątania [Con- fusional state]. To a large extent, this vision is connected with the perception of old age as an illness. Thus health issue remains in the centre of the analyses. It turns out that if the „old people” consider themselves healthy, the younger part of the society treats them not only as ill but also as a potential threat for young and healthy world. However, the processes of medicalization and pharmacologization refer to young generations as well. The analysis of the novel leads to conclusions on a specific state of „confusion” of old and young age (seniors and teenagers), illness and health. The writer makes diagnoses about the situation of old people in contemporary world and tries to answer the question what may influence their broadly understood health.
